Where's the bagels??

Unloading the groceries is not a favorite past time for me. With two little helpers, this chore can become rather lengthy. Especially when you are looking for lost things. After about 10 minutes of looking for the bagels, I gave up. Then I went to the closet to take off my shoes... Low and behold. Guess what I found?
BAGELS!!!
Gee, why didn't I think to look there first?
Welcome to my world! And, they do not smell or taste like feet :)
Be sure to stop back soon for some Pinspiration. A new bit where I bring crafts to life from the world of Pinterest.

So I Forgot One or Two...

Yes, I admit. I left a few blogs off my Favorites list.
The first one I forgot to mention was Stephanie Howell- How could I ever forget her! She is a mom of 4 adorable girls, military wife (Thank you Jimmy for your service!), an awesome scrapper and super blogger. You must go check her out! I have cried-several times- and laughed until I nearly peed in my pants- She is fantastic.
Also, I forgot to mention Heidi Swapp. She is a great business visionary. She has mastered the art of layered scrapbooking and I want to be more like her! Plus, I so want her hair!!
So there you have it...
Yes, I know two posts in one day! I guess you could say I am making up for lost time.

10 Favorite Blogs

So, I have been stuck in a bit of  blogging rut- in case you haven't noticed (ha ha!). I finally decided that I blogging about my favorite blogs would be a good idea. Maybe a little inspirational!
Here goes (in no particular order):
1. Ali Edwards- I love her approach to memory keeping. She is super talented and I turn to her often for inspiration. Her little family is too cute :)
2. Jones Design Co..- Love her! Her style is so classy and live-in-able (yes,  make up words!). She also does some pretty great tutorials, too.
3. The Sanctified Pearl- So, I just found this blog Friday and I love it! I see this site as a big tool on my spiritual journey. Very thought-provoking and insightful.
4. Sarah Richardson- Do I really need to tell you why she is on this list? Hello, SHE'S A-MA-ZING! When we win the lottery I am flying her to Texas to decorate my house :)
5. Just Beachy- Um, it involves sand and decorating. How could this be bad?
6. Thirty Handmade Days- General craftiness, home dec ideas splashed with a recipe. Triple threat :)
7. Jane Coslick Cottages- OK, another beachy blog. I have a thing for sand in my toes. What can I say??! Jane is a decorator on the fabulous Tybee Island. Great ideas for the future beach bungalow.
8. Crockpot 365- This is one blog that will put your crockpot to work. The recipes are easy, yummy, and cover all meals. Yes, even breakfast. A lot of her recipes are gluten free for those who have food allergies.
9. Becky Higgins- Scrapbooking/Memorykeeping genius! I use Project Life that she created. Love it! It truly has been a blessing to be able look past over the past year and see what all we have done. Hmmm. Future blog post maybe!
10. 20 Something Designs- Last but certainly not least- My niece! Just a great blog all around. Really love her Pintrest to Life feature.

There you have it! Now, it's your turn. What is your favorite blog(s)?

Wordless Wednesday

A fun new weekly feature here on ye ole blog.
Man this kid loves Fig Newtons!

Pinwheel Tutorial

So, thanks to my wonderful niece, Brooke, I am officially a Pintrest junkie! While adding pins to my boards, I noticed I had several pins that involved pinwheels. Being in Texas we are in the heat of summer and pinwheels are a true sign that it is upon us. I decided that I needed some of this cuteness in my home ;)

First up, gather your papers, brads, paper trimmer and the handy-dandy Crop-a-dile Big Bite (love it!).

I cut my papers down to 6x6.Then cut from the corner toward the middle- making sure to leave a section uncut. (sorry, I didn't measure. Just wanted to get the project done.)
Punch a hole in the center. With the Crop-a-dile you can do a boat-load of paper :)

Punch a hole in one corner of the 'triangles.'
With me, so far?
Start gathering your corners, poking the brad through your holes.
Push your brad through the center hole. Yes, I know. It is a bit hard to see.
Ta da! A pinwheel! So cute :)
Here is my finished pile. I was on a roll and couldn't stop myself.
I clipped a few of them to some string with clothes pins and hung it up on our tv cabinet (yep, I didn't take a picture.) I gave some to a friend as a housewarming gift. She loved it! Just a touch of fun amongst boring, brown boxes.
I wonder hat I will find next on Pintrest? :)
