Please Vote!

A dear friend of mine has been nominated for College Entrepreneur of the Year! Gabrielle is an amazing, bright, young lady doing some amazing things. She is a biomedical engineering student at Arizona State University. I have known Gabrielle since birth and I am so extremely proud of her and this huge accomplishment. Her company is G3Box. By converting steel shipping containers into maternity clinics, they are giving healthcare to women that might not have it otherwise.  I hope that you will read her story and vote!

This is their first container they are working on.
Good luck, Gabrielle! We are so proud of you!

Pinspiration

Here goes for Round 2 of Pinspiration.
I made this cute little booger for Jamey's birthday. A cute little reminder for him to set on his desk at work to remind him how much he is loved.

Jamey's birthday "card"

Paint your childs (or yours) hand and 'stamp' it on plain cardstock. Cut it out.
Next cut strips of solid cardstock. Mine are about 1.5 in by 12 in. I used 2 and a half strip. Zig zag fold them and glue together. You can make this as long as you'd like.

Add your sentiment with stickers and markers. Use what you have on hand! Ha! Sorry- no pun intended :)
Attach your hands. I placed mine so the bottom of the sentiment helped it stand up.
TADA! Isn't it cute??!
Jamey L-O-V-E-D it. (Sorry, but camera troubles. No picture of him opening it :(  )

Pinspiration

Come to find out our family has an addiction! We all  can't quit pinning! That's right. Pintrest has sucked my family in. We simply can't stop :)  (You can find me here.) All of this pinning has sparked my creativity. And I am loving it. This brings us to today's post~ Pinspiration!!! I have seen a few frames like this and love how they look. Of course, my wheels started spinning. I remembered I had this frame from my grandmother, Cooter,  just waiting to be used. Here is the tutorial on what I did.

Repurposed Frame

Gather supplies: Frame, twine, clothes pins and stapler
Measure twine across the frame. Just make sure to leave plenty to loop around in the end.
Once you are satisfied with where the twine is, staple it down. I made a loop so the twine could not pull through if too much weight was placed on it.
Since my clothes pins were brand new, I decided to give them a bit of age. I just used a sponge and some brown ink. It is a bit hard to tell  the difference but in real life it is way noticable!
Lastly, find some favorite photos and pin them up!
I decided to hang this in our bedroom... only because there was a nail already in the wal! :)
I love how it looks although, I think I am going to reprint my pictures in a smaller size.
Not only do I get reminded of the fun times in the photos, but I think of Cooter also. LOVE IT!
